We finally made it to Efteling, our holiday that had been long postponed by Covid, and the weather was ominous.

We’ve gone on holidays by mistake in Holland in March. The North Sea feels like Enniscrone at the same time of year.

We saw Major Alida Margaretha Bosshardt. She saved many Jewish children during the Nazi occupation.

We went to see the nursery museum of Boskoop, where they explained all about the plants and flowers, and how life was there a hundred years ago, when Papa worked there.

Not these guys, they didn’t explain anything.

The kitchen has lots of cool items, mainly though the built-in waffle maker that came with a permanent recipe on the top!
